This is exciting. I have not contacted the Drinkwaters or anyone from Brize Norton, yet. My great grandmother came from Brize Norton and her name was Rhoda Eugenia Drinkwater. She is believed to have attended a private school. Her dates are 4-6-1851 to 7-14-1903. She married in Brize Norton (from the family stories) to Thomas James Weaver on November 7, 1875. I found the only record on this registered in Witney, Oxfordshire parish records. She came to America through Liverpool on 9-4-1880.

I am to be in England in this area after 8-20-2002, and hope to find anyone with information of this family and the Weavers in Crawley.

If you have information about any of the Drinkwaters from this area that I can contact, I would be a very happy woman. I have done extensive research on many lines of my family, and it is time for this one.

Good luck with your research.
