Hello Mark,thank you for your e.mail about William Drinkwater, mine was not born until 1874 so I do not think this is the one you are looking for. By coincidence however,I obtained some information from the Ellesmere Port Boat Museum in Cheshire which listed a William marrying a Sarah Ann Perkes at St.Martins Church,Talke,Staffordshire,February 17th,1872.His father was Joseph Drinkwater,canal boatman. The christian names that we have both listed do seem to have been very popular in those days! I have a lot more research to do and if I find anything that may relate to your William, I will let you know. Regards, Dave.
