Recently, while reading Rev. War Record, it was discovered, that Job(Pearce)Pierce was married to Mary Dring, also known as Polly (Dring)Pierce. (Maiden name was previously unknown)

Also, according to the records, the couple had only one child, Richard Pierce, who married the widow of Perry Lawton, Mrs. Hope (Luther) Lawton.

According to the records, when Mary's husband, Job, died, there was a need for clarification about there marriage.
Elder Charles Thompson, of the Upper Baptist Church of Swansea, was not in the habit of recording marriages with the city clerk.
Therefore, no marriage record seem to exist. Many of the townsfolk who either knew Job & Mary or attended the wedding were deceased. The ones still living were called to testify in her behalf so to enable her to continue to receive benefits. Character references were given as well.

FYI
