Interesting stuff. I was born a bus ride distance from Gibara and share the name Driggs. My mother did mentioned that other Driggs names used in the Cuban (Holguin area) were either Drake or (sounds like) Dereat. Unfortunately my mother passed away a few years ago and I have been notified that my dad Dagoberto Driggs also passed away last year in Cuba.
