Mr. Deason: I am Cherokee from Ga. and I can
tell you that the Choctaws were not the only
ones that were removed to the West. All five
civilized tribes as they are called were forced on this removal from several Southern
states. Read a book called "Cherokee Proud" by Tony Mack McClure or "The History of the
Cherokee Indians" by Emmet Starr and you will find documenation to this. "Cherokee
Proud" has alot of documentation in it. Mr.
McClure did a great job in writing this book
as did Emmet Starr did on his. Before making
a statement as you did, you need to read more
on the history of the removal.
