I apologize for returning you message so late. I do not check this sight that often, though I will try to be more punctual.

I do have some further information on Moses Driggers and his ancestors. My great-aunt, Eula Belle Driggers Langston, compiled this information five years ago. Much was obtained by searching birth records. Here is a brief sketch:

Moses Driggers' father is likely Ephraim Driggers. Ephraim is the oldest Driggers found on the 1800 census records. He was born before 1755, living in Liberty County (later Dillon and Marion Counties, now part of Florence County, South Carolina). He had one wife, ten sons, and two daughters. My great-aunt believes one of these sons was Moses, though she has no definitive proof.

Moses had eight children listed in the 1840 census. My great-aunt speculates that Moses' sons included twins, named Elijah and Elisha, John Driggers, and Daniel Driggers. All of these names were listed in the 1850 and 1860 census of Sumter County, South Carolina. She has no further information on Moses' children.

Daniel is my common ggg-grandfather. I descend from his eldest son, Thomas Pleasant. Please let me know if you have further information on the family, including origins.
