You do not say from whom you descend. Here is
the line in Madison Co, FL my son-in-law Kirk
Randall Driggers descends from:
William Driggers (R.S.) NC.
Son; Jonas Driggers b Cheraw District,SC and
wife Eleanor/Ellender. Jonas d. 1822 Bulloch
Co, Ga.
Son; Dennis Driggers, Sr. b. Cheraw Dist. SC
Married 9 Mar 1799 Bulloch Co. GA. Elizabeth
Neville, dau of John Neville, R.S. She b. 1779 Effingham Co, GA. Both Dennis and Elizabeth died Madison Co. FL. Son; Andrew
Jackson Driggers. Married 11 May 1845 Madison
Co. FL Mary (Polly) Williams. Son; Alfred B.
(Dock) Driggers m. Emily Ann Phillips, both of Madison Co,FL. Son; William Burton Driggers, m. Annie Clark. William Burton d.
Madson Co, Annie died 1957 in Jacksonville,
Fl. Their son was Richard Driggers who married Betty Jean Jackson and are the parents of my son-in-law. There is a copy of
the "Lastinger-Driggers" book in the Jacksonville Public Library. I am in Hawthorne,Fl so have access to the UofF which
has all the Census to the southeastern US.
The Madison Co Driggers come from Effingham
and Bulloch Co, Ga. In Madison Co, there is
and area known as "Driggers Corners" near the
Macedonia Church. Also if you are near Orlando, the Public library there has a very
large collection. Happy hunting, Pat.
