Hi Gary: I just ran a phone list where I came up with 579 Driggers in S.C. & I noticed your message, so thought I would start out with you. I've got some history that goes back to where Wm. David Driggers was born 1-5-1813 in Orangeburg Co., S.C. & died 4-14-1897 in Bailey, Fannin, Tx.

It goes on up to my Grandpa's birth in 1877, & his name was William Thomas Driggers. My grandmother's name was Irene Pollard & she was born 6-10-1875, in York, S.C. & died 5-14-1931.

I have more but maybe this will at least let us know if we might be looking for the same branch of Driggers. I can't help but feel we are all kin, but it is just going to take a lot of researching to get all the pieces to fall in place.

The story goes that my Grandma was born in Holland as she was Black Dutch, but I just recently learned she was born in S.C., I have heard the story before where she & a sister were adopted by a doctor & his wife. If you or anyone should know more about any of these people or if I can maybe help you more, let me know.

Thanks - Sharon Hill
