William H Jr was born in Emanuel County, Ga. His father was William H Sr, b 30 Nov 1776 in Kershaw County, S.C. William H Sr was married to Milly Parker Lastinger, b 25 June 1778 in Effingham County Georgia. William H Sr's father was Jonas, b 1755 in Cumberland County, North Carolina. This whole line is believed to come from Emmanuel Rodriquez, a slave b about 1620 and lived near Magotha Bay, Va. Court records in Eastville Va support this. Hope this helps.
