My ggrandmother was born Marie E. Drew on August 10 1846. She married Minot Keeler in Des Moines, Iowa on Oct. 2, 1870. They had 3 daughters, Angie, Hattie and Mary called Marie. Marie was my grandmother. She was told by her mother that the Drews were not on the Mayflower, but arrived in Plymouth Rock, Mass. shortly thereafter, and that her decendants could join the Daughters of the American Revelution if they wanted to, as her ancesters fought in that war. My gmother told my mom that we are related to the Barrymore's. I have nothing but a very old bible with a few names and dates in it and would like very much to find out more about the Drews. Drew Barrymore looks just like a picture I have of my grandmother and her sisters, when they were young. It is possiable that my ancestors came way back when to America and later other relatives followed like John Drew and his family. This gmother was English, Irish, Scottish, Welsh and French. but I'm not sure what ggrandmother was, but the English and Irish fit the Drews. I am interested in the bio you have by Cora Drew Reynolds, how did you come by it?
