This Washburn brother and sister were offspring of John Spooner Washburn 1784-1842 Dartmouth MA and Desire Omans who married in 1804. Apparently they travelled to New York for a time because at least one of their sons, Reuben, was said to have been born there. The parents both died back in Dartmouth. I have no family history whatsoever on Desire, but two of their children have DREW as middle names. It must hold family significance. No Drew shows up on his side. Does anyone have any idea how Desire Omans might be related to the DREW family?
