R. 2 - Box 41, Heyworth, IL (2/95). Eva: The Jagsthausen Parish Register states that she is daughter of Wolff Adolph Rathgeber. In 1749 he moved to Goshenhoppen, Berks Co., PA and in 1800 to Loysville, Perry Co., PA. He m. (2) Catharine Hamman. "Hist. of Northumberland Co., PA," by Floyd (1911), p. 754: "Andrew Dressler, son of John, was born May 28, 1746, in Germany, near a 'dorf' called 'Yakst,' near the 'Schwabeland.' He was three years old when brought to America." "Jonathan and Joseph Tressler and Their Descendants," a small booklet by Albert Willis Tressler (1948) reports (p. 1): "Andrew Tressler, May 28, 1747 - Oct. 21, 1828) was the son of Johann Andreas Dressler who evidently arrived at Philadelphia, Pa. Sept. 13, 1749 on the ship Christian. They had come from near Yakthause (Jagdhaus) in Wurtemberg, Germany." - the book follows the emigrant's sons, Jonathan and Joseph.
