janice: I have a good part of the Dressler family tree herenow. My mother has it all . If you want to write to her let me know, and I will give you her address. She doesn't have the internet on her computer. John Dressler was born december 1818 and died 1917 in Barton Co, Kansas according to our records. His first wife was Sarah Miles. They had nine children. She (Sarah) died and he remarried Ester M. LaBorde. She was born December 20, 1840 in Clearfield Co,Pa. and married 1863.She died September 15, 1896 in Coffrey Co., Kansas. We have an infant daughter born to them which born and died September 26, 1865.
also listed is a son Joseph J. dressler born 1863 and died September 29, 1865.
what is interesting here is that john's first wife Sarah, one of her children was my great-great grandmother Eliza Jane Dressler.This was the woman that raised my grandmother Mabel when her own mother died. I have more info. Please contact us and we will get it to you. There is also a girl in Punxsutawney,Pa. who has all the Dressler family too. Peggy. I can't find this daughter Ida Elizabeth but maybe that's because they moved by that time.
