My mother is a Drescher. Her Grandfather was Casper Drescher and was married to Barbara Graf (or Graef). Barbara Graf died when my mother's father was 10 or 11. Casper remarried, but grand dad did not speak about her because of the pain of his mother's death and the new "step mother" and he did not get along. His father was a butcher. In fact, he never ate turkey or chicken because when he came home from school for lunch he had to kill his own lunch. My grand dad, George E Drescher was born 01 JAN 1901...died in 1985 in Pittsburgh.
