William & Rebecca Drennon SC 1790s
Posted by: Rose Bird Date: February 22, 2002 at 19:33:15

My William Drennon of Charleston, SC was born about 1790 and married Rebecca, born 1797 in SC. Their known children were John, Nancy A., Thomas Martin, William J. and another son. This 1790 William Drennon, and his brother John, is said to have been the second generation born in America. Parents names not known. The original was thought to have been named William, arriving in Charleston, SC in 1756 with two brothers. These three are said to have fled Ireland under political pressure. There have not been any stories of this Drennon line leaving SC before two brothers migrated; one to Lookout Mountain (which state not known)then to GA and the other to Birmingham, AL. Anyone researching this Rebecca and William Drennon line? Thanks, Rosebird
