How exciting. Our line is from James the 2nd and his 6th child, a 4th son, Gideon. James was the 5th born, and was about 3 when Gideon was born. I am noticing how popular the name Abigail was at the time. Not only was their mother Abigail, but their oldest sister was Abigail, Brother Nathaniel married an Abigail, James III had a daughter with that name and Gideon married an Abigail. That must have made for interesting reunions.

James and Abigal were married Feb. 18th, 1681. My information says that James lost his life from an injury suffered in a wrestling match during a May day celebration. I am sure you have the story that goes along with that, but if not, let me know.

Do you have names for James and Rachel's children? I only have Abigail and no birth date.
