In search of family an Ann Drainsfield (or Drainesfield). Husband was James Hirst of Batley England- his birthdate 1/13/1821. They had 8 children: Joseph 5/3/1841; Elizabeth 12/7/1844; Ellen 12/14/1846; Daniel 12/12/1848 (d 12/1848); Rhoda 3/27/1850; Daniel 5/8/1852; Richard 5/19/1856 (d 11/21/1941 in New Jersey, USA); Hanna 6/12/1859. I know that all living children were brought to the USA as children. Hanna being last child of Ann Drainsfield and James Hirst. No dates documented but Ann died and then James brought his "family" to the USA. James remarried, a lady from Pennsylvania and they had 4 children David James 1864; Mary Janie 1864; Anni Maria 1867; Willie 1870. I do know that Ellen returned to Yorkshire, Eng., married another Hirst and raised her family there. Richard recieved his USA citizenship papers in Pottsville PA.& returned to Eng. for education in the textile industry, married and then returned to Philadelphia PA.
