I am searching for information regarding John Drane of Ipswich, Suffolk, England who was married to Margaret Sorrell. I have two wills. One will is that of Margaret Cardinall(proved 8 Mar 1557) who was the grandmother of Margaret Sorrell. The second will is that of John Sorrell of Bramford, Suffolk, England (proved 31 Jan 1559/1560)who was the father of Margaret Sorrell. In the will of John Sorrell, he bequeaths money to his daughter's son "now called John Chamberlain." I believe that Margaret's husband, John Drane, may have died between the time frame of the wills of Margaret Cardinall and John Sorrell, and that Margaret Sorrell Drane may have remarried a gentleman by the last name of Chamberlain.
Has anyone ever come across this family in their research? Does anyone know when John Drane died or the name of the gentleman Chamberlain?
