My connection to the Drane Family is actually Eugenia Brown who married Wm. Winfrey. She is my ancestors sister-so George Brown's sister.

But-here is what I have in my notes:

William acquired 1500 acres of land and 43 slaves. He was recruited in Patriot's Army and within sixteen miles of Yorktown when Cornwallis surrendered.
Rev Sol Md 10-31-1792.
Revolutionary War - Pension Military Service

So there should be something SOMEWHERE.

Any DAR Member (And I was,but not currently) can go online and check for service, and who has used him.

Gerry
