Dan,

All the Drane's in my family (that I know about so far) lived in Jefferson County, Louisville, Kentucky. I sometimes wonder if there was a connection with any Drane's from Washington County, as my ancestor Charles Benjamin Drane's second son was married there, even though he lived in Louisville. And then there is my memory of my grandfather taking me to Cave Hill Cemetery to see Capt. Anthony Drane's gravesite and telling me that we were related to him somehow. I don't know if we actually were or if it was more folklore than anything. The connections here have been a very hard one to make.
