Maria,
it's nice to hear from you, too.I did not find any listing in Texas of a town named Drane.I used to live in Dallas and one of the most elegant residential streets there was Drane Dr.Most of the early white settlers in Texas were from Tennessee, Georgia, places along the east coast of the US.Prior to their coming here, this was the home of the Commanche and Apache indians. So, I'm sure the Dranes had to originate elsewhere before coming to Texas. There are branches of the Drane family scattered all over Texas, though. They were among the founding fathers of a town called Corsicana, around 1850.It's about 50 miles southeast of Dallas. The Drane family was the richest there in the beginning. There are a few of them left there to this day.Hope this gives you the information you wanted.Have a good day.
