The 1881 census shows a Sarah Gilbey (Mother-in-Law) as residing at the home of a Joseph Drane at "Nr Vicarge, Little Sampford, Essex". Presumably Sarah Gilbey is the mother-in-law to Joseph's wife, Hephzibah. Sarah came from Finchingfield, Essex close to Lt Sampford where many of my relatives originated from but as yet I am unable to discover which Gilbey she was married to.

Joseph Drane is also listed in the census as being born in 1830 at Prittlewell, Essex. Other childer listed at this address are Moses, Rebecca, Robert and Lewis
