Samuel Drake's son, Capt. Joseph Drake, b. abt. 1661, married Mary Shute, daughter of Richard Shute and Sarah Sanford. Marriage 8/14/1656.

Capt. Joseph Drake's son, John Drake (b. 11/8/1689) married Isabel Hill. John's son was Capt. Jeremiah Drake ( b. abt. 1726) who married first, Francis Purdy and second, Martha Deason.
