Shirley, I just now am getting back to my Drain search and I realized that I never answered your last question. These names are not familiar to me. I hope to be able to get more involved in my research.

I did go off on a side trail chasing to see if I could find where there was a connection to Mary Ball, mother of George Washington and, I believe I found where she was a sister to my ancestor so my ancester would be George Washington's uncle. I have been able to get an almost certain positive connection. My ggrandfather was James Hiram Drain. He married Nancy Ann Masters. Her father was John Masters and her mother was Ann Ball. I got what I feel like is the direct link all the way back to Mary. My ancestor was Moses Ball, Sr. (brother to Mary) and their parents were John Ball and Winifred Williams.
