Lorne, could you tell me where you got the info that the father of Peter was Willoughby? Years ago I was researching my Doziers in Gibson Co. and I kept coming up with Dozier names (your line)I couldn't inject into my family line. With the advent of the internet I have now been able to trace your line back to Joseph, but not verifiably to Peter, and a connection to Willoughby is new information. I assume that your Joseph is related to my Phillip since Joseph appears in Dyer Co. in the 1860 census. I had assumed my Phillip had come directly from North Carolina but now wonder if he came to Gibson Co. via Davidson Co. All indications I have found are that Joseph was descended from the Doziers in Davidson and Cheatham counties, but that seems to be hypothesis. I am working diligently to connect the two Dozier families and will be happy to share what I find.
