Great to hear from you. This is the first time I have connected with someone searching the same family line on genweb. I would love to share info with you. My 2ggranddad is Elijah Porter Gower, who others say married Ann Dozier in Dyer Co, TN. She would have been sister to your Henry Clay.
My dilema is that some have reported that Elijah Porter Gower married a Mary Ann Simmons. So I need documentation that supports one or the other to prove my lineage. One Horace (Jack) Dozier was said to have a family bible that showed the marriage of Ann Dozier to Gower, but the only public record I have found is a Davidson Co., TN record of Gower to Mary Ann Simmons 31 July 1855.
What kind of information are you seeking? Do you have any early family photos?
