Doyal DNA

I was checking through Family Tree DNA information and found that there is a Doyle [and other spelling] group with 19 participants.

We all know how unstable spelling was in early days, so, while proud of our DOYAL spelling, we can't discount that earlier ancestors and kin today may use a different spelling.

Any male carrying the surname could take a 12 marker test for about $99. It only involves an envelope with a q tip that you sway in your jaw and mail back.

Thought some who carry the surname might be interested in doing this. It might establish some kinships.

You can pull up FTDNA and read about it.
