I do think my William Doyal came from Virginia. However, the lived in Kentucky as early as 1793, so I doubt this is the one in the 1798 tax list.
I do have a Samuel Doyal, that is a son of William Doyal.
Since my last post, I've learned he was born about 1810 in Kentucky, had 3 wives: 1) Unknown, 2) Louisa Dutoit m 1844, 3) Martha m. abt 1854. They lived in Dayton, Ohio then moved to Franklin Co. Ohio around 1860 and he probably died there. He had about 14 kids from those marriages.
When and where was that Samuel Doyal married to Abagail Burt?
I haven't found any connection with the Doyals in GA/TN/AL, or even the ones nearby in Kentucky.
