My Great-Grandfather Alfred Henry Cross married Emily Julia Doxey at Middleton in Derbyshire, England in 1892. Her father's name was John Doxey who was born in 1814. Her mother's maiden name was Lydia Slack who he married in 1844. Emily was the youngest of 6 children and was born in 1864 when her father was fifty years old. At present I have no information regarding what became of her brothers and sisters or their descendants, although I know their names. John Doxey's parents were Benjamin Doxey and Ann Slack who were married at Middleton in 1804. I would be interested to hear from anyone with connections to this family to exchange information etc.,
