Yours is the first posting I have seen anywhere linking the Doxseys and Bennetts. This is encouraging! I am descended from a Lemuel Doxsey, from L.I., N.Y., who is descended from a Wilhelmus Bennett. William Henry Doxsey may be Lemuel's father and William H. Doxsey and Lucy Bennett may be his grandparents. I have been searching for info about his parents with no luck. Do you have any additional info about this line? Thanks!
