Hello Folk,
DOXEY in Derbyshire
You can find Baptisms, Marriages and Burials of 1,100 DOXEYs and variants in the Parish of Wirksworth, Derbyshire, England on my website at: <www.wirksworth.org.uk>
Also 2,000 events from the IGI for DOXEY. Analysis shows the DOXEY surname originated in Middleton-by-Wirksworth. My records cover 1600-1900. My mother was a DOXEY, and I have traced her DOXEY line back to a marriage in 1595. My DOXEY tree is on my website in Section 15, are you a distant relative? Contact me if your folk came from Wirksworth, my website has 223,000 records of 9,000 surnames from Wirksworth. The same website is for sale on CD. The website is the most detailed genealogical study of an English parish on the Internet. Let me know if you've found a more detailed website!
Best wishes,
John Palmer, Dorset, England
