I've done extensive research on the Doxeys of Currituck County North Carolina. The original Doxey was John, arriving in the County ca 1770. He supposedly had a brother named Jeremiah, who was a Rev War vet from another region of North Carolina. Would be happy to provide any information I have to anyone working on this surname. I am particularly interested in Doxeys who went on to Tippecanoe Co IN, Livingston co IL, and Goodhue co MN.
