I am looking for information on John R. Greenway who was a riding and hounds master on Long Island, N.Y. beginning in about 1912ish. He came to N.Y. via Canada from Ledbury, Herefordshire, England. There he was Master of the Ledbury Hounds and had some connection with Eastnor Castle in Ledbury. He was married to Clara May Dowdeswell at Pixley Church in Feb. 1909. I am also interested in any info. on his wife's family. We know his father had the same name and the father-in- law was named William Arthur Dowdeswell, a platelayer (assumed a slate roof craftsman). Greenway wife in that era may have been a Miles or Boulter.
