Hi Beverley,

I think it is possible that your Samuel and Suzannah might be related to my Samuel (b. abt 1810) from Writtle, Essex. He married Elizabeth Patient (or Palent)and they named one of their children Susannah (Susan). She married James Beard - a twin apparently). Another child, Cornelius went to New Zealand and it is from him whom I descend.

I have my Oatham (Otham) family on my website - look under Genealogy then Winter family or Oatham family - hope we make a connection:

I have also been able to look at the 1841-1901 Census now and have uncovered more information that I am currently adding. Such as sister Elizabeth's children (she was unmarried) and then sunsequent marriage to John Malyon. They remained in the Writtle & Broomfield districts.

Regards Joanne.
