They are my 3rd Ggrandparents. Mary Charlotte Downman, b ca1791 in MD, d abt 1871 in AL as Mrs. Chetwynd S Talbot, b ca 1790 Richmond Co. VA; John Boast Sr, b ca 1780 Petersburg, d 1831 Mar. of lung cancer.
Mary and John had 4 children. Mary's father was Rawleigh Porteus Downman Lieut. Col. b 1754 Mar 26 in N Farnham Par. Richmond Co. VA, d 1801 Jun 10 Prince William Co. VA. Some writings say Rawleigh didn't have children. He made a will, and there are court records memtioning his two daughters.
