I am looking for information about Julian R. Downman, Washington, DC, Assistant Building Inspector, City Engineers Office, circa 1917-1922. According to 1922 newspapers, he was responsible for inspecting the construction of the Knickerbocker Theater, built in 1917, Washington, DC. I am writing a book about the Knickerbocker Theater Disaster, January 28, 1922. The roof of the theater collapsed during a snowstorom and killed 98 people and injured 133 people. I would like to include photographs and stories about the people involved in the construction of the Theater and the disaster. If anyone knows of Julian R. Downman, please contact me at ChambersDK@state.gov or chambersdk@yahoo.com. Many thanks for your help. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - I have learned the following information about Julian R.
