Charles, Jacob Downman was born ca 1755 in Lancaster Co., Pa. Died 1815 Hampshire Cco., WV. He married Margaret --- In his will filed May 15, 1815 he mentions wife Margaret and children, Sarah, John, William, Aaanna, Jacob, Margaret Nary CatherineRachel and Nancy. Apparently, Jacob was not happy with Mary Catherine choice of husband Gabriel Caine because he says in the will that she only got her inheritance if Gabriel was deceased and if she died before Gabriel then here share went to Sarah and Rachel. Rachel, daughter of Jacob marred John Cain. Rachel Cain married Nathaniel Skinner Rogers, son of John and Nancy Skinner Rogers. They were to move on to Iniana. Iin a biography of Luke Rogers he states that his grandfather was Irissh and his geandmother was Jewish. Rachel was 1909 in Hampshire Co
