John Marshall was the father of Eleanor Marshall. Indications are that he was the son of Matthew Marshall. The Marshall girls married the Downing brothers Edmund and Benjamin in Wilkinson Co., Ga not Wilkes. The Downing brothers ' mom Hannah left a will in Wilkinson Co. I think the will was dated in 1819, but she died 26 May 1820.
