I'm wondering if your Downings are related to mine. I think it's a long shot, but I have a ggrandma named Margaret Downing, b.1893(?), d.1943 in S.Paris, ME. Longtime res. of Danvers,MA; daughter of John Downing and Susan Niles. No info on John Downing. Margaret MAY've had bro. named John, possibly an older sister. Anything sound familiar? Thx, J.
