My g-g-grandfather was Dr. Samuel Garver Downing. He was born on 9 Apr 1846 in Logan Co, OH. His father was Isreal Downing b. 1787 in MD and d. 1856 in Delaware Co., IN. His mother was Elizabeth Rector b. 1807 in OH and died 1872 in IL.
Samuel married Leusetta Jane Hobbs on 12 Nov 1891 in IN. He died on 11 Aug 1927 in Tipton Co, IN.
I am trying to find any info that will take me back to his grandfather. I think Samuel's grandfather was Abraham Downing but that is all I have. If anyone can help, please e-mail me or post a follow up. Thanx
