I am looking for information on Obadiah J. Downing (1805-?) He was married to Lydia H. Titus (1810-?). In @ 1829 They came to Aurelius, Cayuga County, NY with her brother, David Sands Titus from Dutchess County, NY. They were Quakers, probably Hicksites.
Obadiah is buried in the Quaker Cemetery in Springport, NY. He and Lydia had three children who were named in his will: Phebe, Mary Jane, Susannah and George H. Susannah married Henry E. Curtis. They are my GGGrandparents. They are both buried in Lakeview Cemetery in the Village of Cayuga. Any information on Obadiah would be greatly appreciated.
