*Capt. M. B. HIGHSMITH a.k.a. Malcijah Benjamin (Kige) HIGHSMITH, son of Teresa (Williams) HIGHSMITH and Samuel HIGHSMITH, Capt., was born 17 May 1827 in Old Caney, Bazoria Co., Texas, and died 4 May 1893 in Bastrop, Texas.
He married Francis Evaline COUPEE 1851 in Bastrop Co., Texas.
