Downies in County Antrim, Port Glasgow, Scotland

Does any of this sound familiar?

My great-great-grandfather, John Downie (b. circa 1835 in Ireland), married Bridget McCurdy (b. circa 1836 in Cushendall) in Cushendun (County Antrim, Ireland) in 1855. I have no information on John's ancestors.

John and Bridget moved to Port Glasgow/Greenock, Scotland around 1865. Their Downie children were John (my great-grandfather, b. circa 1860 in Ireland), Margaret, Alexander, Joseph, Elizabeth, Mary Ann and James.

John Downie married Mary McCormick in Port Glasgow in 1881. Their Downie children were Patrick, Joseph, Mary McCormick, Rose Ann, my grandmother Elizabeth (b. 1893) and Daniel.

Any leads would be very much appreciated!
