Hello,
My great-great grandfather's name was James Downie. He was born in 1839 and was married to Emma Kirkwood. They came to Canada in 1869 from Scotland. They had seven children. Does anyone have any information regarding these people? I would like to know more about them before they came to Canada and who their parents and grandparents were.

I am the 5th generation of Downie's to be living in a community in Manitoba. (My maiden name is Downie).
