Judith thanks for all your communications. I had managed to prove the John from Slaidburn wasn't the John I wanted and had put it into my Reunion program ready to print out to send when the "new" computer that my son had given me packed up and I lost it all. Fortunately I still had all the information and my old computer.
So I still need to know who John Downham of Tosside was!
I am coming up in July and will call in on "the shop". A Hungarian aquaintance makes one of the best "Bulls Blood " wines in Eger and I have a bottle to give to your husband to try for fairly obvious reasons.

By then hopefully I will have got the information back onto Reunion and can leave that for you too.

What I find incredible is that Yvonne Foster who is in contact with you re Downhams is also on the Sussex list for Jenners and from what information I have so far the same family. Small world!
Best wishes
Margaret
