I have an ancestor named James Downey who first showed up in Litchfield CT in 1760. He had several children there, including James Jr., William, Thomas, and Charles, then moved his family to Vermont. He had 12 children altogether by his first wife, Rachel Baker, then when she died he had 4 more kids with his 2nd wife. Here is my line:
