Downey's from MI. My grandfather was a James
Downey who was born around 1865 either in
Detroit or surrounding area. All that I know
is that he had a brother named Michael. My
grandfather left home around 1885 and came to
New York City. He was married in NYC and lost
touch with his family in MI.
