My great, great grandfather was Robert Downey born (unknown) in Indiana. He died 01/06/1879 in Dallas, TX. He was married to Anna Blacker b. 10/24/1840 in Cinn. OH d. 1/26/1900 in Comanche, OK.

They had a son, Charles E. Downey b. 06/23/1874 in Dallas, TX and d. 10/03/1946 in Oklahoma.(I don't know if there were other children.) He was married to Belva Jim Boyd and they had four children. Nolan E. b. 07/14/1909 d. 01/08/1981 in Comanche, OK (my grandfather). Virgil, Lowell (called Bill) and Bessie were the other children.

Any information you could provide on Robert Downey or Anna Blacker would be appreciated. Family oral history has it that Robert ran away from his home in IN when he was 10 years old because of problems with a step father. He went to TX while it was still a republic. I have nothing on his parents.
