I am looking for any information on Charles S. DOWNEY, b. 4 Aug 1861 probably in Malone, NY. According to his death record, his father's name was also Charles S. DOWNEY. Charles was a decorator who eventually moved to the Lima, OH area where he married Sarah DANNER. Charles and Sarah had two children: Lillian and Howard. Charles and Sarah eventually moved to Allen Co., IN where they both died in the 1940s. They are buried in the IOOF Cemetery in New Haven, IN in an unmarked grave. If anyone has information on DOWNEYs in upstate NY or OH that might tie into Charles please contact me! I would love to share the information I have on his descendants.
