DOWNEY's from Gortnahoe & Ballingarry

I am researching the DOWNEY family, which were Catholic and came from County Tipperary.
They are found in the Ballingary (sp?) and Gornahoe parishes. They inter-married with SWEENY, CAHILL, COUHIG, MC CARTY, BERGIN, CORMACK families. My ancestors settled first in PA (abt 1850/1) then IA then NE.
